Danish IT company ELEARNINGFORCE International (EFI), the software developer behind award-winning e-learning platform LMS365, is now speeding up its global expansion. Founder and owner Bjarne Mortensen recently sold his ownership of EFI to external investors and has passed off his role as CEO to former VP of Sales, Lars Vestergaard, who settled into his new role of CEO as of January 1st, 2018.

Danish investors: A very interesting business case

Venture group Omni eLearning recently invested in the future of ELEARNINGFORCE International by purchasing Mr. Mortensen’s stake in the company. The group’s double-digit, million-dollar investment emphasizes EFI’s enormous potential and will support the company’s continuous growth. Omni eLearning is led by CEO Jacob Bro Eriksen, Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg, current owner and chairman of Danish transnational shipping group WECO, as well as Ole Kristoffersen and Steen Skallenbæk, founders and former owners of Lagkagehuset/Ole & Steen.

Cloud-based solution in close partnership with Microsoft

EFI has spent the last three years on a technical transformation of its eLearning solution, moving from traditional software development of a license-based solution to a pure cloud solution based on subscription sales. Leveraging Microsoft’s growing Azure platform, LMS365 ensures constant access to learning and can connect an unlimited number of users, no matter where they are in the world.

Established in all significant markets

Founder and former co-owner continues as board member
